A simply adorable original wool, circa 1860's divine black design soutache accents. Piped at sleeves and with ten fabric covered buttons at back opening. Lined with a reddish polished cotton. Machine as well as hand sewn.

Recently deaccession from the Rochester Historical Museum in Rochester New York, and still retaining its sewn in catalog identification number tag in sleeve.

CONDITION
In good sound condition, with few scattered small holes in wool, and staining in front below neck line. All soutache embroidery is intact. There is no age discoloration and no underarm discoloration.
