Description
A simply adorable original multi colored cotton, circa 1860's divine double tiered black scalloped design accents at hemline and cuffs, white lace trim on cuffs and neckline. With nine fabric covered white china buttons at back opening. Lined with a white cotton. Machine as well as hand sewn.
Recently deaccession from the Rochester Historical Museum in Rochester New York, and still retaining its sewn in catalog identification number tag in back opening.
CONDITION
In very good sound condition, with few scattered small holes in cotton, and age discoloration brown storage spots in front and with no underarm discoloration. I believe the white lace trim on cuffs and neckline is not original.
