Chinese Blue and White Alum Red Porcelain Stem Bowl On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted in a shallow, slight deep, flaring rim with close mouth rim, raised on ring high foot base deep concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in red base color which contrast against blue and white color, depicted of flying phoenix mythical bird through flower bloom, scrolling tendril and ruyi. The Phoenix Feng-Huang represents exquisiteness, goodness, warmth, prosperity, peace, the Sun, abundant harvests, and reason in government. The Chinese phoenix is considered the representative of all feathered creatures. The Inner center-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue rings lines. Made in The Years of Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
