1846 Louisiana bill of sale for a "negro woman named Ginny, aged about twenty years." This document details Ginny's sale from the Wiliams estate in DeSoto Parish to a member of the Williams family in exchange for six hundred dollars.
The bill of sale is written in ink on one side of a single sheet of paper, the reverse contains docketing notes.
