DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is a hand-painted multiple by renowned installation artist Judy Pfaff. The piece consists of a lithograph with hand-applied encaustic, wax mixed with colored pigment, and dye. The piece is entitled Cost of Seed and is signed, titled, dated, and numbered by Pfaff along the bottom recto: VII/XX Cost of Seed, J. Pfaff, 1998, see photos. The piece is one of only 20 produced by the Tandem Press of Madison Wisconsin and features the printer's blind stamp. This is number 8. Each piece in this series is unique because of the hand-applied colors and wax enhancements.
