Description
An Apulian Red-Figure LEKANIS, circa mid 4th Century B.C , the interior divided into four equal compartments around a central cylindrical compartment, the lid painted on one side with Eros seated on a rocky outcrop and gazing back at a maenad looking into a mirror, and on the other side with a seated satyr leaning on his tambourine and conversing with a seated chiton-clad lady leaning on a tambourine,a profile head of woman wearing a sakkos and earrings on the top of the Knob. Details in added white,and brown wash, small holes for ancient repair. the lid has broken parts that need to be repair.
