Description
A pair of two Nayarit seated figures. One is holding a ball in his proper right hand with stepped designs decorating the upper chest. The other is holding a cup in his proper right hand with a curved, serrated band in black and white decorating each side of the chest. Reddish ceramic traces of pigment. 200 BCE to 200 CE. Mexico. Smallest: 11 1/2" x 7 1/2". Largest: 12 1/2" x 8".Condition: Very good, with no apparent breaks.Provenance: From the Boeckman Collection. Dallas, Texas. Acquired 3/16/1984. From the collection of Peter Wray. Scottsdale, Arizona.
