Description
Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A set of 3 hand-built terracotta molds for shaping 3 types of pottery figures. Molds like these were used to make several batches of figures before they broke and were an efficient means of production over hand-making each individual figure. Size of largest: 5.625" W x 9.7" H (14.3 cm x 24.6 cm)
