Pre-Columbian, southern Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 to 400 CE. A wonderful pottery bowl exemplifying classic Nazca style! Sitting upon a rounded base, the vessel features straight walls hand-painted with a horizontal band of 8 teardrop-shaped fruits and 3 spikey phytomorphic designs in hues of maroon, ochre, sienna, black, and cream. Size: 8" Diameter x 4.5" H (20.3 cm x 11.4 cm)

Professionally repaired with restoration and overpainting on break lines. Chip to rim, and a few small nicks in areas. Otherwise, excellent with nice remains of painted decoration.
