Includes Barbra Streisand – En Français, 45RPM, EP6048, signed and inscribed to Barry on the back of the album cover, (3) postcards written by Streisand to Dennen, (10) 4x7 notebook pages handwritten by Streisand, (2) handwritten letters from Streisand that were mailed from the Hotel Wolverine, one is written on the hotel letterhead (envelopes have rm. 308 as a return address), typed lettered signed by Streisand to Barry thanking him for the note about a television show, and another handwritten letter, and miscellaneous items. In 1997, Barry published his personal memoir, My Life with Barbra: A Love Story, sharing for the first time in his own words the fascinating background behind the Bonsoir nightclub act he created and directed that launched Streisand’s early stardom as well as their love story.In this archive there are letters written from Barbra to Barry over the course of their relationship…letters from Barbra to Barry while she was in Detroit for club dates, letters written to Barry and placed within the pages of a book she gifted him before a flight he took back home to California.These letters are from a time when Barbara was becoming the woman who would become the icon known as Barbra Streisand.
