Balance-form black lacquer fountain pen decorated in hira maki-e and taka maki-e, depicting Mount Fuji on the cap and a bridge over a river on the barrel, with lavish use of gold dust, signed by Gyokusen, a subcontractor of the Platinum Pen Co. in the 1930s. Lever-filler. 136mm. #2 iridium-tipped horseshoe-vent Rieyon nib, fine or extra-fine, no flex. Excellent condition, light rubs, a lovely instrument.
