Framed reproduction of a Civil War pardon for Confederate States of America soldier Captain Frederick Davis Wimberly, 6th Regiment, Georgia Infantry (American, 1840-1893), with facsimile signature of President Andrew Johnson. Note: Frederick Davis Wimberly (American, 1840-1893) enlisted as a Private June 15. 1861, promoted to Captain after the Battle of Sharpsburg where he was wounded, and resigned his commission serving out the remainder of the Civil War as a Quartermaster Sergeant in Macon, Georgia, though the 6th Georgia carried his name on their rolls as a Commissary Sergeant as a mark of respect.
