The lifelong autograph collection of Jerry Shoemaker, Dayton. OH (1944-2021). Jerry was well known among friends, family, and coworkers for his extensive autograph collection. Jerry's process was unique -- he composed thousands of letters to dignitaries, presidents, celebrities, actors, and sports stars in the pursuit of autographs and ephemera. Because of the nature of Jerry's process, these autographs are sold "as-is" and do not have COAs to accompany. Many of the autographs include the original letter or are on the stationary of the celebrity and reference the original letter. The letters were all different and often included surveys and questionnaires for the recipient, to further gain knowledge and engage the subject. In 2001, Jerry was featured on the Dayton, OH news (WATCH here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMmCyRxhm-U), where he displayed his collection highlights and talked about his enthusiasm for collecting.
