Description
(1875-1944) Italian academic and philosopher, laid much of the ideological groundwork for Italian Fascism. Ghostwriter of the essay 'A Doctrine of Fascism', attributed to Benito Mussolini, which delineated the basic tenets of the Fascist Movement. A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo., Rome, Sep. 23, 1940, discusses the purchase of copper for the construction of Bocconi University in Milan, of which Gentile was the vice-president. Mailing folds, staple holes at top-left corner, else very good. Includes a typed translation.
