Batik Cap Sarong, Indonesia, Early 20th C. Commercial tabby cotton cloth; copper stamped wax resist (batik cap) in an overall pattern of rosettes joined by wide bands to form a diamond grid enclosing cruciform patterns, all in brown and white on a dark blue ground. Size: 7'10'' x 3'5'' (239 x 104 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
