Description
Indo-European Tulis Sarong, Indonesia, Early-Mid 20th C. The flower basket was a favorite motif from at least the 1930's up to the early sixties, and regularly appeared in batiks and even embroidery on the top kebaya blouse. Mixed technique hand stamped and tulis with canting. Repairs with darning, some age stains and holes. Size: 3'5'' x 2'10'' (104 x 86 cm).
