A Greek red-figured lebes gamikos
Attributed to the Asteas-Python Workshop, Paestan, circa 4th Century B.C.
Side A with a female seated before a basin, drapery covering her lower body, holding a mirror aloft in her left hand, a patera and wreath in her right hand; Side B with nude Eros seated on a rocky outcrop within a naiskos, holding a wreath in his left hand and small balls in his right hand, a ribbon draped over a band of dotted ovolo above, a band of waves below, tongues on the shoulder, palmettes under the handles, details in added yellow, 25cm high incl. handles, a printed label on the side numbered E.G024
