Description
A pair of tall Chinese wucai jars dating from the Kangxi period. The bodies feature framed floral scenes set against a green, dotted ground with floating blossoms. The shoulders have triangular bands.
Dimensions are: 9 1/4 inches tall X 5 inches in diameter, 23.5 cm X 12.7 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Provenance: From a private New York collection.
Condition: One jar is in overall good condition. The other jar has widespread areas of breakage, repair, and overpainting, including loss to the rim.
