Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing Wucai Porcelain General Helmet Lidded Jars. Potted with a large cylinder vessel, having thick and tall potted body and sturdily, slight ovoid belly enlarge on mid belly gently tapered on short neck, round mouth rim with dome helmet finial bud, raised on short round foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against wucai design color, depicted of abundant flowers blooms foliage scrolling interlocking tendril and auspicious pattern. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Neck base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Jiajing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
