June 26, 1849-Dated, Rare Partially-Printed Slavery $375 Bill of Sale for "One Negro Slave named John," being warranted as "sound and healthy," Richmond (Virginia), Very Fine.
This historically important Black History related Sale document specifically states the words "Negro Slave" being well printed in deep black on off-white period wove paper with vivid manuscript portions. All four margins are fully intact allowing for all the text and border devices to be printed on the paper. A rare locally printed receipt "Sold by J.W. Randolph & Co., Booksellers." Very displayable in quality in overall appearance. This original Partly-Printed official Bill of Sale, measures 3" x 7" receipt for a Slave named "John" who was purchased for $375.00.
