Includes a English silver openwork chatelaine waist clip decorated with central figural head of Pan, putti and scrollwork with alternating ornate openwork figural and cable chains fitted with Albert swivel clasps - duty mark and a date letter of 1889. Chatelaine is suspending (8) various accoutrements including an English silver hinged pillbox - Birmingham city stamp, maker's mark of Colen Hewer Cheshire, and a date stamp of 1889; a silver mounted pin cushion depicting Durga; an English silver travel pencil ? - Birmingham, Colen Hewer Cheshire, 1889; an English silver mounted pocket knife - Birmingham, Colen Hewer Cheshire, 1889; an English silver scissor holder - Birmingham, Colen Hewer Cheshire, 1889 with a pair of English silver? mounted scissors with stainless blades; English silver perfume bottle - Birmingham, unknown maker, 1889; a silver thimble holder; and a silver mounted orb key wind pocket watch with key. Total approx. weight of English silver chatelaine and accoutrements is 5.6 troy oz (gross) excluding orb pocket watch, silver mounted scissors, and the silver mounted pocket knife. From a Larchmont, NY estate. Dimensions: Chatelaine measures approx. 8" in length at its longest point excluding accoutrements.

Condition

Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Wear consistent with age and use. One chain has been replaced with a silver Figaro chain and an improperly attached silver? spring ring clasp. Orb pocket watch dial exhibits hairlines. Pocket watch appears to be running; all pocket watches are sold as is regardless of functionality. Glass orb exhibits scratches. Silver mounted scissors may be a replacement.
