Containing the choicest receipts in all the several Branches of Cookery, second edition, 40 engraved bills of fare, most folding, small hole in a blank area of plate at p.112 and p.224, worm trace to U3 to X4 (final f.), mostly marginal, but occasionally touching the odd letter, but without loss of sense of text, some spotting or staining, lightly browned, contemporary panelled calf, rebacked, preserving worn original backstrip in compartments, a couple of small rudimentary repairs to lower cover, corners restored, rubbed and scuffed, [Bitting p.271 (note); Cagle 810; Maclean p.88; Oxford pp.52-53 (note); Vicaire 490], 8vo, Printed for J. Nutt, and A. Roper; and to be sold by E. Nutt at the Middle-Temple-Gate in Fleetstreet, 1716.
