Containing an abstract of some rare and rich unpublished receipts of cookery, first edition, 3 small woodcuts of pie shapes in text, woodcut head-pieces and decorative initials, title with lower corner cut away, with loss to imprint (including date), and laid down (not obscuring any text verso), H4 (signed H5) with repair at foot, obscuring a couple of letters, last few ff. little chipped / closely trimmed, some foxing, stained, lightly browned throughout, 20th century cloth-backed marbled boards, computer printed paper label to spine, [Oxford p.25; Wing C6055], 12mo, Printed by J.G. for R. Lowndes at the White-lyon in St. Paul's Church-yard, neer the West end, [1654].
