**First Time At Auction**
North Pacific, Hawaiian Islands, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. An attractive footed bowl that is lathe-turned from finely grained koa wood. The hemispherical bowl features thick walls and a slightly in-curved rim, and the squat stem and wide foot enable to vessel to remain stable when placed on a flat surface. Size: 7.2" Diameter x 4.875" H (18.3 cm x 12.4 cm)
Provenance: private Hawaii, USA collection, 1995 to 2010; ex-M. Kobiashi collection, Hawaii, USA, 1960 to 2000

Condition
Stabilization to one fissure stemming from rim. Minor abrasions, nicks, and areas of roughness, otherwise intact and very good. Nice surface smoothness throughout. Old inventory label beneath foot.
