Description
A heavy cavalry sword for enlisted men of the cuirassiers, 1st half of the 18th centuryBroad, straight blade with double fullers on both sides (pitting), embellished with two additional grooves along the back, a horseman and decorative tendrils etched into both sides of the root. Brass knuckle-bow hilt with a long "crosspiece" and thumb ring on the reverse. The grip covered in black leather (minor imperfections, blackened). The scabbard with a wooden core covered in brown leather (small defects), brass furniture (indented) and two iron suspension rings. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Length 102 cm.Condition: II
