Bel frontespizio impresso in caratteri rossi e neri entro cornice xilografica a riquadri con diverse scene di carattere sacro. Numerose iniziali xilografiche nel testo. Qualche sporadica ingiallitura, tarletti nella terza parte che che investono alcune lettere. Bella edizione lionese di questi celebri Sermoni. Sono raccolti 87 sermoni del domenicano Gabriele da Barletta, teologo ed oratore del quale si disse: “Nescit praedicare qui nescit barlettare”. Tra le peculiarità di queste dotte orazioni va segnalato che, come indicato nel frontespizio, vi si contengono, tra gli “Exempla”, citazioni di autori profani come Boccaccio e Dante, oltre che di diversi autori classici latini. Beautiful Lyon edition of these famous Sermons. There are 87 sermons by the Dominican Gabriele da Barletta, theologian and orator of whom it was said: “Nescit praedicare qui nescit barlettere”. Among the peculiarities of these learned orations it should be noted that, as indicated in the title page, there are, among the "Exempla", quotations from profane authors such as Boccaccio and Dante, as well as from various Latin classical authors.
