This 1986 Fender Stratocaster 57 Reissue (AVRI) is light weight and 100% original, no modifications except the installed 5-way pickup switch that originally came with the guitar package. SERIAL NUMBER: V022308. COLOR: Black Nitrocellulose Finish. WEIGHT: 7lbs 8.4ozs (3kg/410g). The black nitro finish has a lot of body checking. There are marks, some buckle rash, scratches, and minor dings, most have not gone through the finish. One tiny crack on the tremolo plate as well. There is patina on all the metal hardware and pick marks on the pickguard. Two pot codes are stamped 1378634 and one 1378635, denoting the CTS Co. made on the 34th and 35th week of 1986. What’s awesome is the fine checking on the headstock and fret board. It shows the natural relicing this guitar has been through. The neck has a 7.25 radius, soft V shape profile. There is a little bit of fretware on the lower three frets however plenty of fretware left. This 36-year-old guitar truly shows it’s relicing beauty. Included with this guitar is the original tweed case in excellent vintage condition with key, manual, tremolo bar, ashtray bridge cover, and guitar strap.
