Item Details
Description
1984 Fender Stratocaster 1957 Reissue. Made in Fullerton, CA. USA. SERIAL NUMBER: V014012. COLOR: Tobacco Burst Nitrocellulose Finish. WEIGHT: 7lbs. 7.0 ounces (3kg/370g). In 1982 Fender introduced the idea of recreating vintage guitars, otherwise known as American Vintage Reissues (AVRI). Between 1982 and 1984 Fender produced these guitars in their Fullerton, California shop using exact tooling and machinery methods as the guitars made in the 1950’s and 1960’s, every guitar was handmade. The Fullerton reissues are regarded as the best guitars Fender made since the 50’s and 60’s. This is a nice Fender Fullerton 57 Reissue Stratocaster, lightweight and in very good shape for being 38 years old. Guitar is 100% original, no modifications apart from the 5-way switch that came with the package was installed, three-way switch is included. The Tobacco Burst Nitro finished body has some crazy checking. The body has some markings, scratches, and a couple dings. There is some buckle rash and pick marks, but nothing through the nitro finish. The pick guard shows guitar pick use as well as scratching on the tremolo plate. All metal hardware has a nice patina. The volume and tone knobs have changed color to green due to age and use. The neck is in great shape, 7.25 radius, C shape. There is a some fretware but plenty of fretware left for years of play. Pencil date of 10-26-84 on the neck butt. Some stamp marks in the body neck cavity. Tone pot codes read 1378427 denoting the pots are CTS made on the 27th week of 1984. The original volume pot is not visible except the last two digits of 30, denoting the 30th week of 1984. Beautiful bell tones coming out of this baby. This rare Fullerton Strat comes with the original tweed case in very good vintage condition with keys, 57 Strat Fullerton manual, ashtray bridge cover, tremolo bar and tremolo envelope with two extra springs, guitar strap, cable and 3 way switch. This guitar would add to any collection, shop, or home. As always please see all photos for more detail. All items are looked over but not inspected further than with the naked eye.
