In “The Real War”, former President Richard Nixon (1913-1994) argues in twelve chapters that the West was approaching a critical reckoning; not just the end of one century, but possibly the end of its existence as hitherto known. "The central thesis of this book is that the West, today, has crossed the threshold of a period of acute crisis in which its survival into the twenty-first century is directly at stake" (p. 6).
Richard Nixon was the author of a dozen books published between 1960 and 1994. Select titles include Six Crises (1962), The Real War (1980), No More Vietnams (1985), and Beyond Peace (1994). The ex-president devoted himself to writing, traveling, and speaking engagements in the years following his resignation as President of the United States.
