Chinese Ming Dynasty JiaJing Wucai Fish and Grass Porcelain Lidded Pot. Potted with a large cylindrical vessel, lidded pot shape, globular belly heavy on shoulder, round mouth rim with reverse bowl dome finial bud, short neck, and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against wucai design color, depicted of carps swim through sea grass, water plants and flowers blooms. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years JiaJing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
