An antique wonderful George Washington inaugural button. This coat button has Washington's initials and the salute "Long Live the President” engraved in it, the phrase pronounced by Robert Livingston after he gave the oath of office to Washington on April 30, 1789 at Federal Hall in New York.

Dimensions: D: 1 1/4 in.

Condition
Shows signs of age and wear. Some of the writing has worn off.
