Chinese Ming Dynasty Brown and White Cranes Porcelain Big Jar. Potted into large jar shape, having thick and tall, globular body heavy on shoulder, short cylindrical neck with round mouth lip and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in brown base color which contrast against clean white fine color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiration. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
