Description
A pair of large Ban Chiang ceramic vessels, Thailand, early period, c. 2100 - 900 BC, the first a rounded jar with flared pedestal base, the surfaces with corded design and horizontal groove below rim, 7 3/4 x 8 1/2 in (19.7 x 21.6 cm). The second a plain-ware cooking vessel with squat body and flared mouth, 4 5/8 x 6 1/4 in (11.7 x 15.8 cm). Ex Orange County private collection.
