A large, elegant bichrome pottery vessel, the body of a rounded form with a flared neck that gently undulates halfway up, with a round base created to sit in the sand, the surface of the body covered with a mesmerizing decorative program of fine-line red swirls, striations, and waves over a cream-hued base, the neck with multiple registers of repeated abstract geometric motifs. Repaired from multiple pieces. Normal surface wear commensurate with age, but painted decoration is relatively vivid. Root marks and mineral deposits grace the surface.
