February 22, 1810. Folio sheet, on laid. Signed partially printed document signed by William Claiborne giving protection to Pedro Faustius of New Orleans to travel to Havana. William C. C. Claiborne was the first non-colonial governor of Louisiana, appointed by Jefferson. Signed documents from early New Orleans are quite scarce.
Condition
Creased, small holes to some folds, edges torn/chipped/frayed. Refer to photos.
