Description
5 Industrial Foundry Molds Grave Markers,GAR,WWII,Vet. This is a set of five clay emblems inside wooden frames. One has two elaborate stars with "Veteran, 1812-1814" written in the same in the center. Another design features the same star design, but with "G.A.R. 1861-1865" which could stand for the Grand Army of the Republic. A third one has two fairly traditional and geometric stars, each in front of a wreath. "U.S." is written in the center of both stars.
Yet another depicts two hoses create perfect circles, surrounding the writing "West Cata Fire Co., No. 1," as well as an axe and perhaps a nozzle for the hose. Resting atop the circle is a fireman's helmet. In the remaining design, a bald eagle perches proudly inside of a circle with "1941 World War 1945" emblazoned across the top. Each one has a wooden frame that encloses the mold on all sides save for the design. There are two metal brackets or handles, one on either side. These five emblems are truly incredible pieces of history.
