Jennie Wade souvenir celluloid badge and ribbon. Pinback medallion with composite image of Jennie Wade, her house, and memorial & grave with the legend "Jennie Wade * House Where She Was Killed." Stamped brass device of sickle, wheat, and a lily suspended from pinback. Blue, white, and red silk ribbons backing. Red ribbon with faded printing. Original pin to reverse.
At the age of 20, Jennie Wade was the only direct civilian casualty of the battle of Gettysburg when she was killed by a stray bullet on 3 July 863. Her house remains a popular attraction within Gettysburg.
