Description
A delicate, finely worked, shiny silver spoon in the shape of a dragon holding the bowl of the spoon in his mouth. I love the detailed finely wrought scales on the dragon’s body. It was sold by the famous Chinese silver retailer Wang Hing (1854-1925). Wang Hing silverware is unfailingly high quality and design driven. Wang Hing supplied Tiffany & Co. with silver goods for a 20 year period. There is the Wang Hing mark and the number 90 (representing silver purity 900) on the underside of the spoon’s bowl.MEASUREMENTS5” (12.7 cm) long x 7/8” (2.2 cm) wide.
