18th century coin silver sauce ladle, Thomas Shields, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1785, with round bowl, molded bowl drop, and downturned rounded end handle. Engraved sprigged script monogram ''MH''. This ladle is made of a very good gauge and in fine condition. Marked ''T.S'' in rectangular cartouche with pellet between letters, on lower portion of handle back. 8''l. Total approximate weight 2.3 troy oz.
