This etching is one of a small group that came from the family of a Colorado print maker that was a contemporary of Burr who received these etchings as annual Christmas greetings from either Burr personally or Cyrus Boutwell, a well-known Denver decorator and dealer of Burr's, between roughly 1915 - 1923. Most have a personal Christmas salutation written in pencil below the matt line. They were never matted or framed and thus are in excellent, like new condition.
