Test Pilots: Chuck Yeager (Scarce Signed & Flown Cover) Bill Dana and Milt Thompson, Signed Photos + High Altitude Jumper, Joe Kittinger. Three test pilots whose contributions in flying aircraft at supersonic speeds ushered in man's reach into space.
1.) Chuck Yeager (1923-2020) likely the most well known test pilot of all, having broken the sound barrier in the X-1. He has boldly signed a very scarce flown cover from the 1983 Paris Air Show, that commemorated Yeager's triumph with a fantastic illustrated cover of the X-1, with Glamorous Glennis (his wife) stenciled on the jet. LOA by Steve Zarelli. Cover was limited to only 1000 worldwide and boasts a unique hand cancel/postmark. 2.) Bill Dana (1930-2014) and Milt Thompson (1926-1993) two of the only twelve test pilots who flew the X-15 jet who both went on to life long engineering position with NASA Each have signed an 8 x10" portrait standing in front of the X-15 with Dana's photo in color and Thompson's photo with LOA by Zarelli.
Joe Kittinger (1928, age 92) High altitude parachute jumper who in the latter half of the 1950s, set records for the highest skydive from heights greater than 19 miles. Three pieces signed including a 5 x 7" photo in front of his gondola. All three pieces authenticated by Steve Zarelli
