Chuck Yeager: Boldly Signed Wood Model of the X-1 and Signed Commemorative 25th Anniversary Cover, LOas by S. Zarelli (1923-2020) Celebrated legend of the skies was a United States Air Force officer, flying ace, and record-setting test pilot who in 1947 became the first pilot in history confirmed to have exceeded the speed of sound in level flight. The list of accolades and awards are endless and his position in pop-culture forever cemented due to both the book "The Right Stuff" as well as the original film version. Offered is a signed wood model from The Danbury Mint, which Yeager has boldly signed on the right wing. This exceptional model plane is a 1/32 scale model, signed ''Chuck Yeager' and measures 11.5'' long x 9.25'' wide x 7.25'' tall as displayed. Excellent condition, in original box that is in good condition. 2.) Also included is a signed postal cover commemorating the 25th Anniversary of his 1st Supersonic Flight on October 14, 1972. Especially great is the cover was canceled on Oct. 14,1972 at Edwards, Ca.
