Nice Collection of 10 Autographs By Legends of the Suffragette Movement & ERA Including Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Stanton. Fine collection of clipped signatures that are perfect for matting with a photo of the individual suffragette. Included are: 1.) Susan B. Anthony, most visible champion of Women's Rights in the 19th Century fine large signature 2.) Lucretia Mott abolitionist and women's rights activist signature dated 1872 in light pencil. 3.) Elizabeth Cady Stanton author, lecturer and leader of Women's Rights Movement and very much on equal footing with Susan B. Anthony, both a formidable duo in the movement. Two autographs, a long, bold signature 1½ x 5¼" as well as a signed card 2¼ x 3¼" 4.) Lucy Stowe another formidable champion of women's rights from mid to late 19th Century. All of these signatures are quite prized and difficult to find.
Complimenting the four historic women above are 5.) Ruth Bryan Owen daughter of famed orator, Congressman, lawyer and anti-evolutionsist, William Jennings Bryan who became the first female Ambassador of the United States, first Congresswoman from Florida and also an early pioneer filmmaker a typed letter signed dated 1933. 6.) 4 signed pieces by the charismatic Bella Abzug, Congresswoman from New York's 20th district and very vocal advocate of equal rights for women. 7.) Signed schedule of events for Women's Equality Day for the Federal Women's Program Committee from 1987 and signing boldly "Women's Equality - Gloria Steinem" who remains active today.
