Monica Lewinsky was a graduate of Lewis & Clark College and was hired as a White House intern in 1995. Lewinsky was 22-years-old when she became involved in a political sex scandal with Clinton, which allegedly lasted between 1995 to 1997. Clinton initially denied any involvement with Ms. Lewinsky but further investigation into the scandal led to charges of perjury. He was impeached on December 19, 1998 for lying under oath and obstruction of justice. The impeachment trial lasted for 21 days, ending on February 12, 1999, and Clinton was ultimately acquitted of all charges. After surviving an intense media storm, Lewinsky has since become an activist and cyberbullying victims advocate.
