One page, on bifolium, 5 13/16 x 9 3/8 in., creased at folds. On "State of New York, Republican State Committee" letterhead. Addressed to Lyman Dunning, Esq. of East Canaan.

In full: "I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 11th inst."

[With:] ARTHUR, Chester A. (1829-1886). 2 11/16 x 4 in. clipped signature ("Chester A Arthur") on Executive Mansion letterhead. -- CLEVELAND, Stephen Grover (1837-1908). 2 3/4 x 4 in. clipped signature ("Grover Cleveland") on Executive Mansion letterhead. -- CLEVELAND, Frances F. (1864-1947). 2 11/16 x 4 7/16 in. clipped signature ("Frances F. Cleveland") on Executive Mansion letterhead. -- HAYES, Rutherford B. (1822-1893). 2 1/8 x 3 7/16 in. clipped signature ("R.B. Hayes") mounted to piece of paper with ink inscriptions and mounted facsimile signature of James A. Garfield and an additional mounted signature of a "W.K. Seeley" on verso. -- Together, 3 clipped signatures of presidents and one of a first lady. Conditions generally fine.

Jr. 1 5/8 x 4 1/2 in. clipped signature ("F.E. Spinner Jr."). -- Together, 2 items signed by Francis E. Spinner, who served as the 10th Treasurer of the United States from 1861-1875, including under Abraham Lincoln.

[Also with:] Baltimore County Republican Ticket. [Maryland]: [1887]. 2 13/16 x 9 3/8 in. (a few separations, few adhesive repairrs to verso, creasing to edges and corners and along central horizontal fold). Upper portion features an illustration of a sinking globe labelled "Our Country" with an American flag attached at top, with text below listing the Republican candidates including "For Governor, Walter B. Brooks." Bold text at bottom asserts, "Against a Convention," beneath "Eiection [sic] Tuesday, November 8th, 1887."
