Description
STAFFORDSHIRE BRITISH VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATE, featuring an imposing structure on a hill, possibly Edinburgh Castle, with a horse drawn cart and cattle below, floral and scroll border. Marks include printed American eagle grasping a ribbon inscribed "E PLURIBUS UNUM" with "W.G. Wall. Esq." and impressed crown encircled with "A STEVENSON WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE" to underside. Andrew Stevenson, Cobridge, England. 1810-1827. 8 1/4" D.
Having rim hairline, primarily visible to underside only, with minute flake to foot ring.
