Tortoiseshell box: frequent cracks and splits to tortoiseshell panels, light scratches and wear to surface, as expected with age and material. One small chip to top panel. The back of box several pieces that likely were splitting were glued back down and now slightly discolored. Dent to silver panel at front. Interior lining degraded, one of the tea compartment lids with knob replaced. Bone box: exterior in excellent condition, some light chips to edges. Interior not inspected, hasp does not release lock mechanism.
