Description
Group of Three Early Chinese Pottery Vessels. The first, a grayish-green ovoid vase with a tall neck and galleried mouth, applied to the body with a pair of taotie masks; the second, a blackish-green glazed compressed baluster vase with twin beast masks suspending rings, incised around the body with further beasts; and the third, red and green glazed ovoid jar, the shoulder encircled with raised bands and flanked by double taotie loop handles. {Height of the first: 20 inches (50.8 cm)}. Condition: All vessels with overall surface wear from age and use. The first and second with chips and hairlines.
