OUTSTANDING Vintage 1880's Baskets Antique Quilt ~UNUSUAL FLORAL VINE BORDER!

Description

This GORGEOUS cotton 1870's/1880's baskets quilt is hand pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted, with an unusual floral vine border on three sides.

It measures 74" X 84" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small spots (see pics), and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.

There is quilting around the piecework and applique and in straight line and flower petal designs in the background, all at 6-7 stitches to the inch.

The back and hand stitched binding are tiny 19th century prints, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of central Pennsylvania.

The CHEERY COLORS, WONDERFUL BORDER, and SUPERB CONDITION make this 19th century COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out!
