This cotton 1850's/1860's floral wreath "presentation" quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a nice vine border and interesting "tic, tac, toe" inner grid. It measures a generous 92" X 94" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional small age spot and no wear. The quilting is REMARKABLE, with elaborate straight line, feathered, floral, heart, pinwheel and other designs quilted throughout at an even 10-12 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is red, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light. Two slightly different greens were used (see pics).
